Tree Amigo Volunteer Training
Our City Forest's Tree Amigo volunteer training courses are run 1-2 times per year. There are eight 2-3-hour classes totaling 19 hours. Visit our calendar for dates and times. Those completing the 19-hour training will become certified to coach volunteers at neighborhood and school tree plantings sponsored by Our City Forest. See here for more information. Young Tree Pruning
We offer Pruning Workshops periodically, and as part of the Tree Amigo training. Hands-on instruction is provided on how to perform early prunings for young shade trees. Additional Educational Opportunities
San José Tree Tours
Enjoy a leisurely walk while learning about trees. This free educational tour includes the San José State University campus and the San Jose Civic Center area. Tours are held monthly and by request. To sign up, call (408) 99-TREES x6. For more information, click here.
