Our City Forest’s Annual Spring Fest

Our City Forest's Community Nursery and Training Center is hosting the annual Spring Festival on MAY 10th, 2025 from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

We are planning workshops, entertainment, activities for kids, informational tables, music, and tons of fun!

Workshops Schedule

  • This event will start with a discussion on nature journaling. Afterwards, there will be a guided journal activity focused on observing plant flowers.

  • Join us for a workshop and shrub tour where we will teach you how to convert your lawn into a drought-tolerant garden!

  • After a brief discussion on the history and ethics of sage smudging, everyone will have the opportunity to collect their own cuttings of sage, mint, rosemary and more! Sage seeds, plants, finished and unfinished bundles will be for purchase with a small donation at the end of the workshop.

  • Join Katie in learning about pollinators and the plants that help to pollinate California. This workshop features a tour of the nursery along with visiting the nursery bee hives. Honey will be available for purchase at the end of the workshop along with donations! Ages 4+
